ABOUT BLOOBS
Bloobs Blueberries is situated in scenic southern Tasmania,
with a cool climate and long growing season producing high quality fruit with great flavour.
BLOOBS BLUEBERRIES ORGANIC FARM
We are passionate about producing the best quality, best tasting organic blueberries we can.
Our organic farm is family-owned and run, we pride ourselves on our sustainable practices.
The farm is situated in a beautiful, pristine and quiet valley, close to the water, beaches and beautiful Cygnet, a lovely small community in Southern Tasmania.
FAMILY OWNED
Tim and Jo bought land originally to have space for their three boys and to grow their own food.
The whole family works hard on the farm, with a special mention to Jo and Tim’s parents, who have been instrumental in developing the business to where it is today.
CLEAN AND GREEN
Our valley does not have intensive farming, so no nasty chemicals are present from overspray or in the natural creeks or bushland.
We love the natural environment and encourage the establishment of endemic plants to attract platypus, wedge tailed eagles, sea eagles, native birds, frogs and bees.
BIOSECURITY
We are very aware of the risks posed to our farm with regards to contamination, in particular Blueberry rust.
Biosecurity measures are taken to minimise risk of detrimental contamination.
BIOLOGICAL FARMING
Biological farming involves the addition of biological mixtures which encourage the growth of beneficial bacteria and fungi into the soil. Organic matter is added which provided nutrients to the living organisms in the soil.
Analysis of soil samples provided critical information regarding soil amendments required. We have been certified organic since 2021.

FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED
Tim and Jo bought the land in with the intention of providing some space for their active boys and to produce their own food.
The blueberry farm soon followed. They love spending time with their three boys there, especially the outdoor activities such as cricket, soccer, paddling on the dams, finding eggs from their free-range chickens, fishing and swimming at the local beaches and having winter bonfires.
They love their home orchard and vegie patch and produce their own apples, pears, quince, purple gage plums, greengage plums, Louisa plums, prunes, apricots, nashi’s, thornless blackberries, gooseberries, jostaberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, lemons, limes, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, herbs, garlic, asparagus, zucchini’s, tomatoes and salad vegetables.
